This was a real and honest conversation about the music we listen to every day and the impact it can have on our spiritual lives. We sit down to talk about how music shapes our thoughts, influences our emotions, and often affects us in ways we don’t even realize. We get into the reality of entertainment culture, the messages behind the songs we consume, discernment as Christians, and how to find a healthy balance in a world constantly filled with noise. If you’ve ever wondered whether the music you listen to matters or how it can influence your relationship with God, this conversation is for you.

This was a real and honest conversation about what it actually means to be a deacon in today’s world and how easy it is to confuse serving with status. Dn. Leule sits down with Dn. Dani and Dn. Sami to talk about “deacon clout,” the pressure of appearances, and the difference between being seen serving and actually living like a servant. We get into the reality of pride, titles, social media perception, spiritual responsibility, and what humble leadership actually looks like when no one’s paying attention. If you’ve ever wondered what it means to be a true servant beyond the title, this conversation is for you.

This was a real and honest conversation about what it actually looks like to live out your faith after the moment is over. Miraf sits down with Dn. Mihret, Dn. Ananiya, and Dn. Yosyas to talk about why we even gather in the first place, how easy it is to get caught up in the hype, and what it means to stay rooted when no one’s watching. We get into the reality of conference highs, distractions from social media, and the daily choices that actually shape your faith. If you’ve ever walked away from something spiritual and wondered “what now?”, this conversation is for you.

In this episode of Unfiltered Faith, we talk about what it really means to live out our faith while being surrounded by people of different beliefs. Reflecting on Christ’s words in Matthew 5:15–16, we discuss how our lives as Christians are meant to shine before others not for our own recognition, but so that God may be glorified. Through personal experiences and insights from Church Fathers like St. John Chrysostom and St. Cyril, we explore the challenges of staying faithful in school, work, and social circles, what can sometimes “dim” our light, and how love, patience, prayer, and genuine friendship can become powerful ways that others encounter the grace of God through us.

Season 2 of Unfiltered Faith starts with a simple message: welcome back, and you’re not too late. In this first episode, we look back on what made Season 1 special, the conversations that stuck with us, and how God used them to shape our faith in ways we didn’t expect. From there, we open up about real moments of drifting, doubt, and finding our way back to God, and why returning doesn’t mean having it all together. We talk honestly about shame, fear, and the pressure to look “perfect,” and remind anyone listening who feels distant or discouraged that God is still near. This episode is for anyone who needs to hear that coming back to God starts with one step and that step is always welcome.

September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and we wanted to take time on Unfiltered Faith to talk honestly about mental health, especially for men, where the struggles often stay hidden. In this conversation, Ananiya and Thomas open up about anxiety, burnout, and the pressure to stay silent, while anchoring everything in 1 Peter 5:7: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” We’ll explore why faith and mental health need to be talked about together, how the church can do better, and practical ways prayer, brotherhood, and even therapy can help. This episode is a reminder that it’s okay not to be okay, and that God’s care is big enough to meet us right where we are.
