Season 2 of Unfiltered Faith starts with a simple message: welcome back, and you’re not too late. In this first episode, we look back on what made Season 1 special, the conversations that stuck with us, and how God used them to shape our faith in ways we didn’t expect. From there, we open up about real moments of drifting, doubt, and finding our way back to God, and why returning doesn’t mean having it all together. We talk honestly about shame, fear, and the pressure to look “perfect,” and remind anyone listening who feels distant or discouraged that God is still near. This episode is for anyone who needs to hear that coming back to God starts with one step and that step is always welcome.

September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and we wanted to take time on Unfiltered Faith to talk honestly about mental health, especially for men, where the struggles often stay hidden. In this conversation, Ananiya and Thomas open up about anxiety, burnout, and the pressure to stay silent, while anchoring everything in 1 Peter 5:7: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” We’ll explore why faith and mental health need to be talked about together, how the church can do better, and practical ways prayer, brotherhood, and even therapy can help. This episode is a reminder that it’s okay not to be okay, and that God’s care is big enough to meet us right where we are.

In this episode, we’re asking a big question: is it really my purpose, or just my passion? Sometimes what we love doing isn’t the same as what God is calling us to. We’ll talk about gifts, talents, and how to know if they’re meant to glorify Him or just satisfy us. Tune in as we wrestle with finding that balance between passion, purpose, and calling.

In this episode of Unfiltered Faith, Ananiya, Samuel, Mihret, and Robel sit down for a real conversation about what it means to hold on to our Orthodox faith while living in the diaspora. They talk about things we don’t always say out loud, like how to know who to actually listen to for spiritual advice, whether it’s okay to watch sermons from other churches, and why Orthodox worship looks so different from what most people are used to. It’s honest, relatable, and full of moments where you’ll probably find yourself saying, “Yeah, I’ve wondered that too.”
